BMW India Group President and CEO, Vikram Pawah, explained the world challenges that prompted him to increase the prices.

“Pawah explained that for BMW India, the growth and sales momentum in the first half of the year has been exceptional. But, the continued impact of the foreign exchange rates and the global supply chain has been increasing material and logistics costs.”

“Due to the stubborn exchange rates, numerous premium auto manufacturers across the globe are struggling to deal with the impact of the foreign exchange rates, and the global supply chain disruption. For BMW India, the burden of these costs is becoming harder to absorb, and so they are trying to manage it by sharing some of it with the consumers.”

Plans New Model Launches For Festive Season!

“Regardless of the new price point, BMW India is confident about the market and has indicated that they plan to launch multiple new models in the festive season. ‘We are geared to launch new models with power-packed profiles of our cars during festive season. The demand for the BMW luxurious, pioneering cars is constantly increasing and we are best positioned to deliver performance and innovation to our customers,’ said Pawah.”

Impacts For Buying Luxury Cars!

“From the viewpoint of the potential customers in India, the announcement provided them a decisive deadline. The prospects who are considering a purchasing a BMW could have a reason to finalize their purchase decision before the deadline of price change.”

As this is the festive season where people purchase the the products, I’m sure I’m sure this is the worst timing possible.
