Mumbai’s first Supercharger located at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) marks the start of Tesla charging network in India. The new India charging network will help integrate Tesla’s infrastructure in India because it demonstrates their intention to develop an intricate charging network well ahead of their vehicle deliveries.
Supercharge Everything: Streamlined Thezer’s Four V4 Superchargers

The global charging network expansion is accelerating with the launch of the new Mumbai charging hub which integrates Tesla’s latest V4 Supercharger that is the first in India. The set includes four powerful DC fast charging with an 11 KW AC charging destination. The V4 Superchargers have the V4 command that is a maximum of 250 KW fast-paced charging.
Reduced Downtime
The V4 Supercharger’s efficiency is excellent — for just 15 minutes of charging a Tesla Model gets 267 km, a portion of the range from both. This also clears India’s EV charging bottleneck which has for a long time impeded the switch to electric alternatives.
Straight Forward Model
Tesla has implemented a simple pricing structure for Supercharger in Mumbai, making it accessible to electric vehicle owners in the area.
While the slower AC destination chargers are priced at ₹11 per kWh, the DC fast charging stations are priced at ₹24 per kWh. In relation to traditional fuel expenses, charging a Model Y would cost around ₹1500, which when fullycharged offers great bang for the buck.
Expanded Metro-Region Plans
This serves to highlight Tesla’s ambitious plans for the charging infrastructure throughout India. Once the BKC station is operational, the conveniently located supercharger stations in delhi gurungram, saket and noida will make spending on electricity effective and affordable TESLA will already have superchargers installed at major subway stops which are essential for long term battery usage.
Greater Mumbai Region Plans
Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai and Thane will together create a network to span the entire metropolitan region bringing more superchargers to the greater mumbai area, only starting from the BKC location. Tesla will therefore not be limited to only the greater mumbai region, as they will also be able to expand their supercharger station presence in the greater mumbai region with super chargers.
Capturing the Market
Mumbai was straitforward to capture as their first showroom is already in the area. Coupling the showroom with the supercharger is a great way to not only increase availability, but also draw more interest towards the Tesla units. Along with the Model Y being released in July, it now makes more sense to promote a steady inflow and interest towards a competing product.
Starting September the Model Y Standard Range RWD deliveries will begin, and the Long Range RWD will come in the fourth quarter.
Smartphone Integration for Enhanced Experience
Using the Tesla mobile app, owners have the ability to check for charger congestion, monitor the charging, and check the battery for their vehicle all remotely. The charging infrastructure Tesla has built physically is matched by the seamless systems digitally. This effortless holistic integration is remarkable. Tesla mobile app allows owners to check charger congestion, check the charging, and even the battery for their vehicle all remotely. The charging infrastructure Tesla has built physically is matched by the seamless systems digitally.
India’s electric mobility map is ignited with the launch of Tesla’s first Supercharger station. This world class charging infrastructure is entering a rapidly growing electric vehicle market and will aid in India’s EV adoption. India’s major metropolitan regions will be strategically expanded, and with the growing charging network, EV adoption will be met with accelerated vitesse.
